Overview
BVF is a browser extension and companion web app that lets you apply real-time cinematic filters, color overlays, textures, and presets to any HTML5 video. We designed it to be privacy-first: all video processing happens locally inside your browser.
Information we collect
We do not collect, sell, or share personal information. BVF does not transmit the audio or video you play to our servers. Your preferences (filters, presets, textures, blend modes, and settings) are stored locally using your browser's storage and never leave your device.
Permissions
The extension requests access to the pages you visit so it can adjust the video elements on the active tab. These permissions are used solely to deliver the extension's features and for no other purpose.
Third parties
BVF does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Any future optional integration that requires sharing data will be clearly disclosed and opt-in.
Custom video links
When you paste a video link into the dashboard player, the URL stays inside your browser. BVF does not log, store, or transmit the link, the video stream, or its audio. We never record what you're watching or what's being said — playback and any audio analysis happens entirely on your device, and the link is forgotten as soon as you clear it or close the tab.
